Harry Verweij, the Ambassador-Designate of Kingdom of the Netherlands delivering the opening remarks. Bangladesh Angels aims to play a critical role in the startup funding ecosystem by connecting angel investors with early-stage entrepreneurs. The network will identify suitable enterprises, support them in attracting funding, provide mentorship and provide transactional support to angels.
Key role
Angel investors, who are often experienced entrepreneurs themselves, are an important partner for startups and early stage companies which have limited access to traditional financing, such as banks. Angel investors play a key role by providing early stage investment, using flexible instruments and offering their own entrepreneurial knowledge and experience to guide young and growing companies.
