The first regional study covering Francophone West Africa in the Dutch Good Growth Fund #ClosingTheGap series is published!
#ClosingTheGapFWA (pdf) shows that Francophone West Africa is not short of dynamic entrepreneurs, but many operate in the informal sector.
Although each country shows different strengths and weaknesses, the entrepreneurial ecosystems in the region generally lack a strong entrepreneurial culture. And the availability of adequate and affordable financial and non-financial services is limited.
The way forward
The report shares insights about each market and provides recommendations about the way forward to develop more conducive entrepreneurial ecosystems.
